"Dear Diary" and "Thanks Rock"

Dear Diary, It's two days before Thanksgiving. And to think I haven't had a T.G. off in 30 years. Am I dreaming or what? Rockhead wrote the Pond today and said "welcome to the living." Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. And a different world from what I knew at the PIC. Falcons/Lions and probably Dallas vs. somebody. The Bill and Jerry show.

And Dear Diary, I just wrote a response to Chef Etouffee on the old message board. Like in the olden days.

Today on the job it was nothing like yesterday. Busy as hades Monday with flight delays, while today things were generally normal. Now tomorrow will be a different story. Just like PIC but no phones ringing, running like a madman across the water [ had to get in a plug for Elton John ] and arriving home at 1 a.m. or later and returning at 7 a.m. Thanksgiving morning to do it all over again.

Well, Dear Diary, it's late and time for beddy-bye. See ya tomorrow night. v.c.

P.S. AOL asked its subscribers to vote for the best album cover of all time. Of course, the winner is Sgt. Pepper by you-know-who. And it is no secret who I voted for. Or is it: it is no secret for whom I voted, eh? Here are the results of the poll:

Which of these album covers would you consider the greatest ever?

38% The Beatles, 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'
15% Nirvana, 'Nevermind'
12% Led Zeppelin, 'Led Zeppelin'
7% Fleetwood Mac, 'Rumors'
5% Notorious B.I.G., 'Ready to Die'
5% Johnny Cash, 'At Folsom Prison'
5% Green Day, 'Dookie'
5% Madonna, 'Like a Virgin'
3% Pearl Jam, 'Ten'
2% Bob Dylan, 'Highway 61 revisited'
2% Beastie Boys, 'Licensed to Ill'

No surprise here. As always, the Fab 4 are numero uno. Case closed.
