Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright.
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light.
And, somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout,
but there is no joy in Houston -
The Astros have struck out.

The futility has ended for the White Sox. Last year it was the Bosox, this year the White Sox. 1917 was a long time ago. And whatever happened to Billy Pierce, Early Wynn, Luis Aparicio, and Nellie Fox.

My mom, the biggest Braves fan in the Universe, was so distraught at the Bravos losing to the Astros, that she couldn't bring herself to pull for Houston.

She didn't like the unfair advantage the Astros enjoyed by closing the stadium. All's fair in love and war, eh?

And whatever happened to J.R. Richard and Larry Dierker? v.c.
