"Oops. Zombies Ate This Page"

Someone in Dekalb Illinois looked at a post of mine from 2005. It was "The Thing From Another World," about an alien carrot from outer space. Starred James Arness as the Carrot. This movie has been mentioned on these pages many times. One of my all time favorites.

My post also gave a link to TCM. When I clicked on the link it took me to the TCM web page, but "The Thing" was gone, vamoose. Instead the message was: "Oops. Zombies ate this page."

Clever!

P.S. Rock, how's the job search going? Did you get the job you wanted.

P.S.S. Go Cowboys!

Hey Cat,

It is really weird here. One of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation and not enough applicants plus nowhere to put people. It is not a brave new world out there. I have lost count of the number of applications I have put in and have had several interviews, some are still running background checks, so far gainfully unemployed although every fast food and rest. had now hiring, when I think about it I feel cold, dizzy and feel like I'm going to feint. I do not go there. I just keep filling out apps. It doesn't feel like a brave new world out there. Wonder what Ronnie and Azam are up to? The Pappas Bros are minus one but doing ok. A guy that was a third man under me is now Senior VP of Operations and is truly a class act. There is hope! Until then......rock on luby's

Dear Rock, Good to hear from you. Good luck in your search. The restaurant biz made me feel cold, dizzy, and faint. Don't know if I could put up with that anymore. Too many personalities, and the customers today have to be the pits.

I googled Azam Malik Pic Cafeteria and Golden Pond was the first entry. I kid you not!!!!!!!!

GOLDEN POND

Sep 14, 2011 – Have you ever spent time in a cafeteria, son? ... If Malik told his men that BBQ wasn't to be ... Azam ordered the code red, didn't he? ..... I wrote a foray into the infantile a few years ago when I worked for Piccadilly Cafeteria. ...
You've visited this page 12 times. Last visit: 9/27/11

I don't know if the stuff I used to write did harm or not. Or if they knew I was vc. Or if they cared at all about the message board. It gave me an outlet and helped relieve the stress of Hell Whole. Plus, I am/was a closet journalist.

It says I've visited this page 12 times. Don't recall. Must have been research.

I saw where LUB is at $4 and change. Not much posting on there like in the old days. I searched for Rockhead and Rock on Luby's in the message board and got zilch in return.

I do hope you can find some gainful employment. Keep me posted!

Rock steady! Cat

Dear Anonymous, I'm still at it and still crazy after all these years. Apologies to rhymin' Simon. So you've come back to this part of the world? Don't know about the book. I've got to get my mojo back. It's fallen and can't get up. Good to hear from you. P.S. I need more viewers, so keep watching. Might help with my mojo.

P.S. I heard "Wendy's" is bringing back "Where's the Mojo, uh, Beef>?"
