Pearl. A favourite of Kitty's. She sang with "Big Brotha and the Holding Company" back in the day. I remember being in my dorm room at Truck U. [ University ] and someone in another room kept playing the song, "Take Another L'il Piece of My Heart" over and over. Remember how the old record players could repeat the same "45" ad infinitum. After listening to Janis for at least one hundred times in a row, it was more like ad nauseum. v.c.
