McDonald's Worker Wins Strip-Search Suit

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. - A jury awarded $6.1 million Friday to a woman who said she was forced to strip in a McDonald's back office after someone called the restaurant posing as a police officer....

A former assistant manager, Donna Summers, was placed on probation for a misdemeanor conviction in relation to the incident. Her former fiance, Walter Nix Jr., is serving five years in prison for sexually abusing Ogborn during the 3 1/2-hour search.

Okay, Cat.
So what's the editorial comment from the Pond?
The story triggers a rash of fantasies about former employees and customers...but I never got past leering. Surreptitiously, of course.

The editorial comment is: "world gone mad." This saga is vintage Jerry Springer. Next on Springer: "Strip-Searched At Your Job."

And perhaps there's a reality series here. "Strip Searched By Federal Government Screeners." Stories of young toddlers whose diapers are rifled-through; old grannies....ditto; and of Michael Vick, attempting to hide his stash in a water bottle.
