Great, great nostalgic post. Brings back a lot of moments from 1968, driving along in the car with the radio volume turned up to what would be an embarrassing level had there been a passenger.
Hope you have a separate room when you blog at night so you don't keep the family up with the speakers.
I saw two different stage productions of Hair. Act two opened with full frontal male nudity, all in good taste, don't you know. Can't remember if that was before or after Oh!Calcutta. Today's kids don't have a clue, do they?
Remember this? I would just like to say that it is my conviction/ That longer hair and other flamboyant affectations/ Of appearance is nothing more/ Than the male's emergence/ From a drab camouflage/ Into the gaudy plummage/ Which is the birthright of his sex.
I still play the cd player loud in the car especially if it's a good tune. I never saw "Hair" but remember it being the rage back in the 60's. Well, I did see some hair in those soft porn theatres around town.
Those were exciting times. Yes, today's kids don't have a clue.
I saw where one of the Cowsills was missing during Hurricane Katrina. Which was my impetus for the foray. Unfortunately, the authorities recently confirmed his death.
