Sonny Kuntzler was known as "Al".
(I told you I was still reading)
Al would probably be unbeatable too in the heavyweight division, ala: "Butterbean".....
GN

Band On The Run, class of

Admiral Halsey notified me, er, wrong song. I remember Sonny. A big lout ) no disrespect intended ) who was a flutist, or is it floutist? Or it pronounced floutist? Stuck inside these four walls, v.c.

and I had a cup of tea,

and butterpie...

BUTTERPIE???

Mr. Rucker from Rowdy High had nicknames for most of his students.
Mine was Admiral Nelson. I really liked being in his class, never boring.

I think it might be flautist? probably not...

Shirley, flautist is it. I know! Don't call you Shirley." Somebody had to decide a long time ago that flutist didn't cut it and flautist was the word instead of the bird. Only a charter member of "Band on the Run," courtesy of Rowdy High, would have known the answer.
For supplying the answer to my query, I will trade you 2 Isadore Sauers playing cards for one Roger Oxford. Ditto: 2 Alan Buffaloes for one Sam White. And 3 Edward "All" Morris for one Admiral Nelson. gimme shelter, v.c.

I'll keep Roger Oxford, but u can have Sam White AND Rufus Griggs for 2 Buff-a-butts, if you'll throw in Anita Smith too. Hell, I'll even throw in Jimmy Carlisle, the original Slippery T-Bone player, (who was before my time), but according to my Dad was a descent player. Can you confirm that, V.C.? 3 All Morris's for 1 Admiral Nelson? Good deal! You can have Danny "Small Balls" Smallwood, too, u know how I feel about him. Most everyone had nicknames, but you didn't, and yeah, I remember mine - hated it.
That's the price u pay when your father is head of the class, I guess. My step-mom and I were talking this past weekend, and she and I agree u either liked him a lot or hated him if u were in the band. Hi to Kitty.

Slippin' and Slidin' between these 4 walls, 29 years and counting. Help!!!
