"Double Your Pleasure. Double Your Fun. With Double...."

"The Shining Twins." "Come Play With Us." This is-to say the least-a really bizarre movie. Posted by Picasa

"Redrum" Where's the Bartender?

The film was made in 1980 and in any marriage, there will always be disagreements. Shirley, Jack just wants to get to the crux of the problem. Seems there's been a communication breakdown.

"Apologies to CSNY!"

Shelley Duvall is scared shitless [ pardon the french ] as Jack wants to have a pow wow [ pun unintended ] with her. An ax vs. a butcher knife? I'd have to go with the former.

"You Are Correct, Sir!"

"Here's Johnny!"  Posted by Picasa

Kaput. Fini.'

The crazed Jack runs through the snow looking for his wife and son. Why is he toting a long butcher knife. The end is near for "The Shining." # 6 on our "Hit Parade."

Carrie is guest presenter for tonite's foray: "100 Scary Movie Moments." It is a different picture from last nite. The telekinetic teen is about to wreak havoc on her town and fellow teens, including John Travolta and Nancy Allen. She causes John to wreck his little deuce coupe sending John and Nancy to the morgue. Posted by Picasa

"Silence of the Lambs" Number "7"

Agent Starling is new to the corps. [ FBI ] And is enlisted to find the notorious Buffalo Bill, serial killer. As with the other movies, there are many scenes that will scare the beezeezus out of the audience. I can watch this movie repeatedly and have somewhat of a fascination with it. It seems I read where Anthony Hopkins' total time in the movie was something like 15-17 minutes. Not a bad gig for which he made millions. Plus the many sequels. Directed by Jonathon Demme. And a big winner at the Academy Awards. Posted by Picasa

Dr. Lecter Escapes

One of the scariest scenes in the movie is when Dr. Lecter escapes from his cell by killing two police guards. To escape the building he surgically removes the face of one of the dead officers and places it on his face. After being taken away in an ambulance he sits up during the ride to the hospital and kills the two paramedics. Doc Lecter is LOOSE! And it's gonna get rowdy.  Posted by Picasa

Audio Clip From the # 7 [ Movie ] In Our "100 Scary Movie Moments!"

Dr. Lector, famed psychologist who has gone mad and is confined to a maximum security prison for the criminally insane talks to Agent Starling, who is trying to pick the good doctor's brain concerning serial killer, Buffalo Bill. Alas, Doc Lecter begins playing mind games with young Starling of the FBI.  Posted by Picasa

Dinner With Andre' er Lecter.

Dr Lector exacts revenge from his doctor at the end of the movie. His doc is vacationing in Jamaica-so is Lector-and tells Agent Starling via Ma Bell and long distance he "is having an old friend for dinner." Posted by Picasa

Eerie, creepy, what more can you say? This picture qualifies as a scary moment in the film about the silence of the lambs. In this scene Dr Hannibal Lector is being transported to Memphis, Tennessee. And soon the fun begins.  Posted by Picasa

Agent Starling and Buffalo Bill have a close encounter of the first kind. She is being stalked by Bill who has on night vision goggles and is ready to pounce on his prey. Scary moment ad infinitum in this classic horror tale. Posted by Picasa

Numbers "8" and "9."

A teenage werewolf introduces tonite's entries from "Scary Moments in Movie History." Posted by Picasa

We temporarily halt tonite's foray [ "100 Scariest Moments in Movie History" ] to report that Rafael Palmeiro [ pictured on the left ] has been suspended by Major League Baseball for 10 days, because he recently failed his drug test. [ steroids ] A few months prior he had testified before Congress that "I did not have sex with that woman," er, "I have never taken steroids," period. Posted by Picasa

Number 9. Number 9. Number 9. Apologies to the Fab 4. Don't want to beat a dead horse here, cos we at the Pond have exhausted this movie and subject matter into oblivion, but George Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" comes in at number 9. Posted by Picasa

"They're coming to get you, Barbara." The scariest scene had to be the one where the redneck's daughter finally succumbs to her illness, comes to life and eats her dad. What a wholesome movie, eh?  Posted by Picasa

"Carrie" rated numero eight. Written by Steven King, rumour has it he threw his manuscript into the trash can after writing, deeming it unfit for viewing. His wife retrieved it and soon "A Star Is Born!" The rest, as they say, is History. Number 8! Posted by Picasa

There were many scary moments in this flick, as with "Wait Until Dark," previewed yesterday. Carrie's mother, a religious zealot, is "flipping out" as the movie unfolds.  Posted by Picasa

Telekinesis, eh? It's about to get rowdy! See next picture for more details. Posted by Picasa

The shit is about to hit the fan [ pardon the french ] as Carrie is splashed with pig blood at the high school prom. Posted by Picasa

"Carrie" by Stephen King. Cissy Spacek's first starring role. Co-starred Vinny Barbarino, aka John Travolta. And Steven Spielberg's wife [ not sure if they're still hitched ] Amy Irving. You should be dancing, v.c. Posted by Picasa

"100 Scariest Movie Moments" Beginning With Number 10!

Our foray tonite is self explanatory. And we begin with scary movie moment "Number 10." Submitted for your approval and perusal. Posted by Picasa

"Wait Until Dark"

Number 10: "Wait Until Dark." There are 2 scary moments in this movie. One when Jack Weston [ to the left of Ms. Hepburn in this scene ] is pummelled repeatedly against a chain-link fence by an automobile. Me and my sister, Olga, ventured to San Fran, circa '67, and did what we both love to do and that is/was catch a movie. And this is the one we saw. Wonder if she remembers? I went to sleep in the theatre but suddenly woke up when a car's two headlights were heading my way and running over Mr. Weston. The other scary scene was at the end of the movie [ duh, really ] when Alan Arkin jumps out at Ms. Hepburn after she stabs him. And there was another one, as well, as we delve further into the memory banks. When Richard Crenna is standing by Audrey's door saying his goodbyes to her after repenting, no longer wanting to be a bad guy-he wants to wear a white hat now. Seems he doesn't want the heroin or the money after all. A wee bit late as Alan Arkin stabs him from behind. No wonder it was rated "Number 10" by BravoTV.  Posted by Picasa
